Well Ok here we go!, The 2010 RLI Rugby League season is closing in fast. The weather is fine, the grass is green and the Eagles are back for the new season.

It's great to hear the turn outs have been good at training. A big thanks to all for gettting the ball rolling on that side of things, now the admin staff have to get Insurance, Kit, Playing Pitch, Physios and Balls organised or the Eagles will be a bar crawling team for the 2010 season. (Which has its plus sides!)

I myself will be still the clubs official Referee so won't make many games, and definately won't be reffing any Eagles games! Remember the Titans! So i'll try to drop down to training and meet the players and staff a couple of times a month, to see if everyone is happy with Coaching, Coaches and conditions.

Oh and the reason this is called Jer Bog and not Jers Blog is because the only chance i get for peace and quiet is in the Bog!

Well training has begun in earnest after initial turnout looks promising. Baring in mind that the first sesision last year consisted of two people and one of them was me then the 16 who turned out last Tuesday have done the club prould.

For those of you still to come down to training I'll give you an idea of what training was like...

Dynamic warm up  and stretching.

Circuit; including barrel squats (squats using a barrel as weights, ladder sprints, walking lunges, planks, press-ups and several other weiight excercises using kettle bells and bars/chains.

Ball handling drill.

Cardio excercise called M & m's

Passing drill.

Training has started again down at St Pauls every Tues and Thursday from 7:10 PM. If school is shut meet outside gates to St Annes Park next to School .
